Tom has coached basketball for over 40 years and is a member of the Minnechaug Regional High School Alumni Hall of Fame for his service and commitment to the community. He is also a member of the Ludlow High School Sports Hall of Fame for his outstanding coaching accomplishments. He is also a longtime basketball referee and baseball and softball umpire.
